Oh Em Gee! I’ve been SUPER excited to share this session with everybody. Not just because Jenna and Rich are beyond lovely and sweet….that helped of course but I am also excited to share because it was shot in Washington DC! 🙂 This was quite a busy week for me and I loved every minute of it. Jenna got in touch with me via email earlier this year to inquiry about photography services for her October Wedding in Maitland. Over Skype we got to know each other a little better and were working out when we could shoot Jenna + Rich’s engagement session. We realized it wouldn’t be possible to accomplish in Florida as they were planning their day from Maryland and wouldn’t be in town until just before their Wedding. So, I figured why not bring the engagement session to them? I had never been to DC and always wanted to so this was the perfect excuse. 😉 So, my mum and I packed a bag and were on our way a couple of weeks later. We had a good opportunity to site see and scout possible picture locations the day before Jenna + Rich’s session which worked out really well. We were all really worried about the potentially storms coming our way but thankfully it held off until the day after their sesh! SO happy about that one. :)DC is so beautiful, and yes, we were there in time for the cherry blossoms! Just beautiful.
Jenna and Rich’s session was SO fun! I seriously could’ve photographed the both of them all day long. I don’t know what it is about the lighting in DC but it was totally different from Florida. A nice change. One of my favorite engagement sessions this year without doubt. And not just because of the location. Jenna and Rich are such a lovely couple and they’re crazy photogenic too. I really enjoyed getting to know them both in-person and as a couple. They had fabulous chemistry together in front of the camera. It was really sweet to be able to capture that for them. I’m majorly excited about photographing their Wedding day. It’s going to be fabulous. Can’t wait! 🙂
