Kraft Azalea Garden || Winter Park, FL

Couple: Veronica & Halston

I’m roughly about two blogs away from being completely up-to-date which is a massive feat at this moment in time. I’ve been wanting to develop a better blogging voice for couple of years now but somehow feeling fenced by how completely behind I was with current and present posts. I’m a little more optimistic that this teeny bit of freedom will allow some small changes over the coming weeks and I’m excited to see what unfolds for The Blog. But until then, I have a very lovely engagement session captured for Veronica & Halston who possess a quirky and fun bond between the two of them which radiated throughout their entire session. This weather the last few weeks has been been torture around the later afternoon, of course the time at which all sessions tend to start, so we wound up with an early morning kick off. I must say that although the humidity remains (it’s still Florida!), the light is just fabulous. I will certainly be making note to shoot more often in the early morning. Of course in July/August, it means a start time of about 6:45am-7am to catch that stunning sunrise but Veronica & Halston were complete troopers and I think we ended up with some stellar results overall. We stared off the session at Kraft Azalea Park in Winter Garden with a little picnic set-up Veronica had brought and the two of them popped a little celebratory champagne, because what else is an excited future Bride and Groom to do on a very early Sunday morning!? (Mimosas anyone? 😉 ) And after a venture and frolicking about the park, we proceeded to Rollin’s College for a location switch-up and outfit change. I’ve been playing with the Canon 85mm 1.8 for a little while now and I do quite love it. At some point I’ll give a proper review but I did make a point to add it to my regular lens rotation during this particular session. Absolutely can’t wait to to photograph Veronica & Halston’s Wedding in a couple of months! I can tell it’s going to be a a good one. 😉
