Here are some highlights from Kayla and Nick’s August wedding!
From preparations alone, everyone was already all smiles. Kayla is such a beautiful girl inside and out that her smile alone almost outshone her gorgeous wedding dress. The gown in itself was a unique one. The neckline was a combined form of sweetheart and surplice, while the body was intricately covered in floral lace and sequins. The dress itself was a lovely mix of peach and tea rose, and it flowed beautifully as she moved. While the same shade, the bridesmaids each had a unique spin to their own dresses.
An added note: makeup and hair was done by the amazing Kristy Alonzo. Every bride definitely has to book Kristy for their wedding. She did a phenomenal job as always.
As the ceremony began, the groom – clad in a navy blue suit – and his groomsmen made their entrance via ferry boat. The August heat didn’t stop everyone from breezing through the ceremony. To add, the lakeside view made such a majestic backdrop to such a beautiful event. Meanwhile, the reception area was embellished with gold details to match the rustic aesthetic. Little, colorful tubes of bubble were free for the guests to take, which was really cute. By the time dinner was over, the dance floor was totally alive! People weren’t afraid to show off some moves and party the night away. The guest used the bubbles to send off the bride and groom to their new life together.
I actually met Kayla once before their wedding. She’s extremely sweet, laidback, and always has a warm smile ready. Her husband, Nick, is a little bit on the shyer side. A perfect couple, they definitely balance each other out.
Honestly, I get a little nervous about August outdoor weddings because of the intense heat. It can get highly uncomfortable and sweaty. Regardless, the wedding was simply stunning, and I am overall pleased with how the images turned out. I captured so many genuine moments and laughter from both the couple and their guests.
