This year has kicked off to quite a good start so far. There are plenty of engagement sessions ready to be blogged and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I can’t wait to share the Love over the coming weeks. Ha! Today I’d like to share a few highlights from Samantha and Pete’s engagement session which was captured in and around Safety Harbor. We were due for a downpour that day which is usually a bit nerve-racking. Luckily, most of my couples are happy to embrace the elements that may be against us and rock it out anyway. However, I always prepare couples beforehand to arrive equipped with cute umbrellas and change of clothes/outfit just in case. It’s beneficial to have a hair and make-up back-up plan of action when applicable too. Quite frankly, I think that rainy pictures turn out SO cute as long as it’s not torrential so “rain or shine” is my typical motto for engagement sessions. Be one with mother nature at all costs! 😛 Thankfully, the weather did actually hold up rather well during Samantha & Pete’s session and we were able to prance around this beautiful downtown area freely without any weather distractions except a dose of the usual Floridian humidity. 😉 This sweet couple will wed this coming weekend and I am SO excited to be capturing all the fun in just a few days! Until then, we can look back and remember the fun afternoon we had photographing Samantha & Pete’s gorgeous engagement session. This was a location I had never had the pleasure of photographing before so I had a blast exploring all of what was essentially a “brand new” area for me. There are numerous “Floridian-styled” backgrounds and murals spread across this location so it was fun to incorporate those themes into Samantha & Pete’s images. These two were such a pleasure to photograph. I can’t wait to see what their Wedding has in store this weekend! 🙂
