I present to you the highlights of Sydney and Kristopher’s wedding! 2017 is turning out to be a lucky year for me. I’ve been privileged enough to cover weddings with a surmountable amount of style and creativity left and right. Not to mention, brides that wear wedding gowns that are absolute showstoppers. Sydney’s is no different. Her wedding gown must be one of my favorites so far. In fact, Sydney and Kris’s entire wedding is high up on my list, too.
The setting was in nature – Santa Fe River Ranch, a charming place – which is generally a unique wedding concept. A pre-dress shoot involved the bride and her bridesmaids in robes with bright scarlet-pink detail. Once the dress was on, Sydney looked stellar – a sleeveless A-line dress with a fanback, and a V-neck with delicate lacy details. A silver circlet adorned her golden brown hair. Kris and his groomsmen looked handsome in flint-shade suits. The sunflowers were the perfect touch of color for the bouquet and whole set-up. One of the best things about this wedding is that the couple breezed through their portrait photos!
I met the couple through Alon and Joey whose wedding I covered back in September 2016. Sydney’s mother passed away a few years back, so the event was very emotional for her and her father, especially. She’s a very sweet and laidback girl with a great sense of humor. It’s easy to gather that she’s also little bit of a tomboy – she loves beaches and lakes, and is an equestrian who enjoys wearing cowboy boots – so her dress choice definitely surprised me in the best way possible. Kris, on the other hand, was very polite and well-mannered. From one look, you can tell how much he adores Sydney, and how much this day meant to him as well. He even made wooden beer-openers as gifts to his groomsmen. Both Sydney and Kris were friendly people, and so were their lovely families.
Their wedding day was another cold one for Florida, but the genuine warmth of the ceremony was enough to have everyone brave through the chill. Despite such a heartfelt ceremony, the reception was lively – all smiles and laughter! These people definitely know how to have fun! Overall, the day was brilliant and absolutely beautiful.
